Design meaning
This mug features the Shipibo pattern Metax Kené, based on an Icaro sung to honour the healing trees of the Amazon rainforest. In the Shipibo tradition these trees are not merely plants — they are seen as living sources of knowledge, protection and healing. In the pattern you see two specific trees at the centre, connected to each other. They represent the relationship between people and nature, and the respect passed down through these songs for generations.
